How much passport validity is left on your travel date
Many countries require a passport to stay valid for a set period beyond the date you enter or the date you leave. Enter two dates to see where you stand.

If the destination counts from the day you leave that country, enter the departure date rather than the arrival date.
Three things this number does not tell you
- Six months is not a universal mark. Some require three months, some only that the passport stays valid for the whole trip, some count from the date of entry and others from the date of departure. Four ways of counting give four answers for the same passport.
- An airline can refuse boarding before you ever reach the border. They are liable for carrying back anyone refused entry, so they often apply a stricter mark than the country itself.
- Still valid does not mean still usable. A torn passport, a smudged photo, no blank pages left, or details that have changed without being updated can all lead to refusal however far off the expiry date is.
For your own case, ask the competent authority of the country concerned, your own country's diplomatic mission, or a lawyer.
